Board Model: The Red Rocket Creator: South Island Composites Dims: 7ft, 23.5 wide, aout 6 thick. around 125 L. Closed cell XPS- If you ding it, it wont soak up the ocean and get heavy Carbon Wrap Price: 777$ - compare this to nearly 3K for KT SUP/Downwind board This is a fantastic board for light air wing foiling and SUP surfing. Its a little wider than some of the new high performance designs out there, but this gives added stability when slogging/ paddling and when on foil. I tried the narrow boards, and found them too twitchy and challenging both on and off foil. If you want a stable turny light air board and/or are SUP/Para curious this is for you! SUP Foil- If you are less than or around 180 pounds this would make a great novice SUP foil board. It paddles easy and has good take off characteristics and stability. The shorter length really turns nice when you are on wave. Heavier guys will of course need more skill. Wing- This board has been a great companion to my 72L wingfoil board. Fantastic for light air for my weight (195). Great balance of starting efficiency and stability and swinging the S turns on wave Para- I had hoped to try Parawinging this year but it didnt work out. The crew figures this would be a great board to learn on. Adaptable training wheels. This has a cool add on buoyancy piece that really helped me SUP surf foiling, as I am a total SUP kook. Increased stability for choppy days in the waves. Removable for winging or glassy days. Easy to remove the velcro if not needed.
