Belfry Theatre presents If You Could Read My Mind: The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot –  April 22 – May 18

New musical event, If You Could Read My Mind: The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot, starts April 22.

The Belfry started it’s near 50-year history with a musical, Puttin’ on the Ritz, featuring the words and music of Irving Berlin.

Now, after tackling singer/songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, Tobin Stokes and Michael Shamata have created another musical concert focusing on the music of another Canadian icon— the late, great Gordon Lightfoot.

The show started rehearsals in March and, as Tobin mentioned in a recent email, “There’s certainly going to be many familiar tunes, and a few surprises. Right now, in rehearsal we have a big room full of talent, and it’s crowded with instruments. It’s a good chaos – there’s even a dog.”

Pay-what-you-want tickets to all performances of If You Could Read My Mind: The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot are on sale now.
