Rehoming 3 wonderful guinea pigs. I got guinea pigs as a birthday present when I was younger, but unfortunately I’m now a very busy student and I just don’t have the time to care for them, I would love to see them go to a home with more time available to love them for the rest of their lives. Guinea pigs require a lot of care and are often misrepresented as a children’s pet by pet stores. Though they absolutely can be loved by kids, a more responsible adult would also need to be around. They need their cage swept out at least every second day, and a full change every 4-5 days. Additionally, they need pellets as well as fresh vegetables in their diet, and timothy hay all the time. They also need things like monthly weigh ins to make sure they’re healthy, and nail trimming approximately every 1-3 months. This can be done by a vet or at home. They also need at least 10.5 square feet of room in their cage, their current cage is a 20 square foot c&c cage that can go with them. Lastly, Minnie is a skinny pig meaning she is hairless and needs a fleece cozy in the cage to keep warm and a room at least 22 degrees celsius at all time. If not she could get very sick. If you’re new to guinea pigs please do your research, and be aware that pet stores are most often not a reliable source and terribly misrepresent small pets needs. Open to a new or experienced home. :) Chocolate is a 6 year old abyssinian guinea pig. She is very tame and open to pets and cuddles! Nellie is a 2 year old american short hair guinea pig, she is quite skittish around people as I haven’t had the time to work with her. She will take treats from your hand and climb on you in floortime, just very weary of any handling. However, with a patient and loving home I think this could change. Minnie is a 4 year old skinny pig. She’s quite adventurous and not afraid of much. Doesn’t love to be pet other then on her nose but would love to hangout with you. Additionally, since Minnie is hairless, she needs a coconut oil bath around every 1-3 months depending on her dry skin and oil buildup. Wanting them to go to a loving and responsible home understanding the commitment that guinea/skinny pigs are. Asking $350 for them, aswell as their cage, fleeces, food, hideouts, extra blankets/toys, water bottle, etc. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! :)
