Looking for Affordable Housing in Greater Victoria

Family of five looking for an affordable housing situation where family and community values are more important than dollars – two children in early elementary and one child in high school. We are hoping to offset the cost of rent by trading services, such as landscaping, meal preparation, etc., or other needs the property-owner may have that we can help with. We are a very respectful, single-income family hoping to build and be in community. Both parents are educators, with one parent’s career ‘on pause’. We value homemade and homegrown whenever possible, and we make miso, koji, and various pickles. If you have a space to garden, we also enjoy growing the vegetables we need to live well and would be happy to share our limited expertise.
