Our beautiful, custom timber frame oceanfront family home is available to guests this summer. It is situated on two acres of waterfront, there are multiple walk-on pebble beaches and breathtaking views from dawn to dusk. It is very well appointed, with everything you need in the kitchen, two large patios including an outdoor living room and bbq, and is only a short drive to Sooke, as well as to many of the West Coast's world renown beaches. Access the house via a sky bridge with views out to the water. Walk into the spacious, gorgeous common living area with kitchen, dining and living rooms. There is a large patio accessed from the dining room glass doors. An upstairs water closet, a pantry and a garage. Downstairs is an office / library, a master bedroom with corner windows and a tasteful ensuite and custom wash basins. There are two other bedrooms; one with a queen bed and the other with two singles. All bedrooms have large windows with views of the ocean in the foreground, and the Olympic mountains in the backdrop. Family bathroom with double sinks. Multiple accesses to outdoors on both levels. Easily walked paths / stairs down to the beach level, where at low tide there are countless tide pools and vast marine life that will keep children of all ages (this includes the child like awe and curiosity of adults) enthralled for hours. Sunrises are spectacular. The sun sets to the east, just around the bend, and ignites the sky in crimson and violet. Enjoy frequent sightings of eagles, heron, Canada geese, seals, sea otters, and even sometimes whales. If you have kayaks or paddle boards, this is a fantastic place to put in, and the bay out front offers calm and easily paddled waters even when it's choppy farther out. We are 6 km past the centre of Sooke, so all amenities you need are close by. And we are en-route to the world renown Juan de Fuca beaches including French Beach, China Beach, Mystic Beach and more. The house is three stories; the lower suite is occupied by an adult family member of ours, very quiet, respectful.
