B&B Housekeeping/Innkeeper

Do you have housekeeping and computer skills? The Victoria Heart House is a two level, 6-bedroom, non-profit B & B that serves as a “home-away-from-home” for patients and family members coming to Victoria for open heart and other cardiovascular surgeries or procedures. The Heart House offers a friendly, supportive, and relaxing environment located just steps to the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Seeking a mature, compassionate individual with excellent people skills to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Must have the ability to work independently. • Regular part-time Saturday and Sunday position 6 hours (maybe 8 hours in the busy summer months). Regular shifts rotating from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. • Coverage for sick, stat holidays and scheduled staff holidays during the week Duties will include, but are not limited to: • Responding to telephone and email enquires • Booking guests on computerized reservation system (training will be provided) • Checking guests in and out • Preparing a light breakfast • Daily housekeeping of changing bedding, laundry, cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms, etc. Starting wage: $19.00 p/hr.
