An early and highly refined example of Børge Mogensen’s Model 160 credenza, designed in 1954 for Søborg Møbelfabrik. The carcass is constructed from richly figured and beautifully patinated old-growth teak veneers, showcasing deep tonal variation and expressive grain. It’s elevated on a solid teak base, adding structural integrity and a harmonious sense of proportion—subtle details that define Mogensen’s early production quality. A standout feature is the use of solid wood door runners, a mark of craftsmanship that was later replaced by plastic guides in subsequent models. Inside, four solid beech drawers with elegantly angled finger pulls provide functional storage, paired with adjustable shelving behind the opposite sliding door.
