This is a fantastic commuter and fitness bike purchased in August 2024 from Oak Bay Bikes. Many updates have been done enhancing it significantly beyond the stock version: - Front and rear Shimano mt200 hydraulic disk brakes: levers and calipers (replaced stock generic "Rush" brakes a few months ago) - Ergon GS1 premium handlebar grips - Shimano 46/30 crankset (replaced generic stock crankset a few months ago). - Easton EA90 Seatpost (lightweight and easy to adjust angle and fore-aft independently) - SMP well saddle (I also have the stock Bontrager Sport saddle available - but the SMP is very comfortable) -Vittoria Randonneur Tech 35mm front tire and Schwalbe Marathon 35mm rear tires. These are both extremely puncture resistant (my go-to tires: I never had a flat with these) and have much life left. These replaced stock Choyang tires with no puncture protection - Trek brand adjustable stem (adjust your handlebar angle and height) - Brand new chain: used for one week. - Trek brand fenders A test ride will demonstrate that this bike is super smooth, fast, and shifts flawlessly. I have never had a chain drop since the new Shimano crankset. The Shimano Hydraulic Brakes are also absolutely amazing (and these are typically speced on the FX 3 and higher) I have been having back issues and the geometry has been proving too aggressive for me despite trying different adjustments. Unfortunately, my condition forces me to require a more upright cruiser style bike. Besides some minor scuffs it functions flawlessly and has some much better components than a new stock FX 2.
