"Bartje" is the name of the character in a book ( also called Bartje ) written by Anne de Vries from The Netherlands for children. The book was very popular as well as the small copy of Bartje statue.. There is actually a full size ( boy size ) statue in the town where Anne de Vries lived. This one is gold painted and about 7 inches tall. I have owned it about 60 years now and it istime for me to let go. Please email me if you like to see it.
