Original vintage Epigone Lenci "Elegant Dancer" Ceramic Figurine This original "BIO Ceramiche" of Turin, Italy ceramic figurine of an elegant dancer is in the style of Lenci and Cia Manna figurines referred to as "Epigone". These figurines were popular and made well into the post Art Deco era of the 1950's. Lenci figurines, for example, had become world famous during the earlier Art Deco era. This polychrome ceramic figurine depicts an elegant dancing lady in a tightfitting long evening dress. The skin is of matt glazed earthenware with a gloss glaze on the hand painted decorated white/golden dress, light blue shoes as well as her black hair. As with all collectables and artwork, condition is an especially important aspect to consider. This figurine, as the photographs show, is in excellent condition. The markings on the bottom of the figure, referred to as the "signature" state: "BIO Turino Italy N.254". The figurine also has its original maker's sticker" Ceramiche BIO Turino Italy" attached to the lower reverse portion of the dress.
