Vintage Celluloid "French Ivory" Tabletop Picture Frame This frame dates C1920. It is made of pyralin, a type of celluloid. Celluloid was invented in the 1880's and used through about 1930. This frame is a creamy yellow colour, aged over time, and has faint striations that suggest ivory; hence the name, "French Ivory." Its opening is an oval. The frame has a pocket on the back that holds the picture. Marked "French-Ivory" in excellent original condition with no warping, scratches, discolouration other than aging, or other issues.
