$25 · each - Vtg Mexican Batea Wood Hand Painted and Carved 13" Bowls

Two beautiful wooden bowls; each a one-of-a-kind piece of art made in Quiroga, Michoacán on Lake Patzcuaro and have been so for generations; hand carved and tole painted with flower designs in vibrant colors against a black background. These vintage shallow bowls measure approximately 13 inches in diameter & 2 in depth. They are lovely pieces, wonderful used as a decorative pieces or as functional bowls for holding fruit or other food items. I have had them for many years but now I need to down size and find them a new home.
