Use the drop-down shelf for preparing cocktails or as an extra surface for dishes when you have people over. I used it to hold stationary and wrapping materials in the desk part. I kept fine my fine china pots, crystal glasses as well as Royal Doulton and soapstone figurines in the display cabinet part. I have found this exact model online for up to $3500 on Antique and Auction sites. I’ve seen similar cabinets on peer-to-peer sites like Marketplace and UsedVictoria.com for under $1000.
