A rare and highly collectible example of Hans J. Wegner’s early work, this JH512 folding lounge chair was designed in 1949 and crafted by master cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen. Executed in solid oak with handwoven cane, the chair embodies the functional elegance and organic minimalism that define Wegner’s design language. The subtly curved profile and low stance offer an inviting, relaxed sit, while the integrated handles and folding mechanism reflect Wegner’s deep understanding of structure, comfort, and craftsmanship.
