Construction Labourer - Sooke Area

DAILY TASKS (will vary, depends on stage of construction) - Loading & unloading construction materials and moving them to work areas. - Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete, floor leveller, expanding grout. - Installing and removing concrete forms. - Digging or filling trenches, foundations (working w/Slinger Operators) - Installing foundation foam insulation, compacting aggregates. Level earth or aggregates to fine grade specifications using rake, shovel, wheelbarrows. Use of tape measure, strings and levels. - Cribbing garage door openings, sidewalks, patios; Back-framing for access panels, TV backing, etc.… - Working with various gas powered, electric corded and battery tools. - Assisting skilled Tradesperson or Construction Site Manager with various tasks. - Assist Heavy Equipment Operators to secure special attachments / rigging to equipment, signal operator to guide them moving equipment and help in other activities. - Assist in aligning pipes and perform related activities to civil infrastructure groundworks. - Assist in demolishing buildings using prybars and other tools. - Direct traffic at or near construction sites. - Site Safety. Ensuring personal safety with PPE and other Trades safety. OFA Level 1 First Aid preferred but willing to provide - Preparing and cleaning up of site (Inside buildings, exterior common areas, etc.…)
