Uniquely designed piece. Late 19th C. Quartersawn fumed oak in the mission oak tradition. I just finished reupholstering this in a heavy duty Jacquard. I used authentic jute webbing. Joinery on the arms is redone. Original patina intact with ferric acetate touch ups and a thin tung oil finish. Totally rock solid piece ready for another 150 years of use.
