$1,100 · (REDUCED) AMPEX 620 AND 601 TUBE AMP AND REEL TO REEL / MIC PREAMPLIFIER

Super rare opportunity to own a couple of pieces of 1950s Ampex recording history that are still relevant today. First up is the 620 tube amp and speaker combo. Equally beloved by audiophiles / HiFi stereo enthusiasts and guitar players. Push - Pull 6v6 amp and original wide bandwidth JBL speaker. Great cosmetic condition and has the front cover! Second is the 601 1/4" tape transport and tube mic preamp. These preamps are still well regarded and this one has the XLR microphone input. This one doesn't have the front cover. As far as I know, both units are totally original so will undoubtedly need re-cap and servicing before they can be powered up. I WILL NOT be powering them up lest they fry. I don't have the power cables anyway. Sold as is. Do your research. They are extremely rare, particularly to have a pair like this. Feel free to make an offer but low-balls will be ignored. I would definitely prefer to sell them together. May consider trade for guitar / amp gear. Cheers!
