Clean machine that does the crunch. One of the best pedal platform amps ever built. This is the same year and model Steve Jones used on the iconic NMTB Sex Pistols album so it isn’t limited to loud, clean cowboy music. This Twin will do the rough stuff as well as any big iron amp. The master volume on these 70s Silver panel Twin Reverbs is indispensable for getting great crunch, OD and compression at tolerable volumes. The older Blackface Twins sound great in a stadium but this version is much more versatile and useful with a master volume so you get the best of both worlds. The big electrolytic filter caps were replaced with top quality German F&T capacitors a couple years back. I’ve upgraded the speakers to a pair of high power Celestions H100 from Europe but will include the original Oxfords along with a bag of older components that were replaced. I just had the reverb circuit re-done at Marrs audio last week. I’ve put some very tasty vintage Dutch tubes from the mid 60s in the sockets that matter most. Will include a super sturdy tilt stand and a set of heavy duty locking casters if you want them. I’m selling because I have a rebuilt Mark 3 Traynor that is basically the same circuit so I don’t need both amps right now. Definitely will miss this girl.
