Therefore I can re-thread older 1 x 26 road fork steer tubes to 1 x 24 in order for one to fit new 1 x 24 headsets with caged bearings, thread 1 1/8 MTB threadless fork steerer tubes 1 1/8 x 26 if one wishes steer tube to be threaded for 1 1/8 threaded headsets and re-thread older (Raleigh) 1.375 x 26 Bottom Bracket Shells to 1.375 x 24 in order for one to fit 1.375 x 24 bottom bracket sealed cartridges. If you are local this is an inexpensive choice to repair bike frame as I would only charge a labour fee to re-thread fork or BB shell.
