Farm Market Stand Attendant, Seasonal

Location: 8277 Central Saanich Road, Saanichton Hours: Thursday–Sunday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM (32 hours/week) Wage: $25/hour About Us: We are a local, sustainable farm offering fresh, seasonal produce directly to our community through an on-farm market stand. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where customers connect with where their food comes from and enjoy a vibrant selection of vegetables, and handmade goods. Position Overview: We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and self-motivated individual to run our on-site market stand throughout the season. You’ll be the face of the farm during open hours, so strong customer service and attention to detail are key. Key Responsibilities: • Open and close the market stand each day • Set up and organize produce displays and signage • Track and keep inventory of farm produce • Engage with customers and answer questions about produce and products • Handle cash and card transactions accurately • Keep the stand clean, organized, and stocked throughout the day • Take photos for our social media platforms. Ideal Candidate: • Has experience in retail, markets, or customer service • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions • Friendly, reliable, and good at working independently • Interested in local food, farming, or sustainability • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on their feet for extended periods Extras: • Previous experience working at a farmers’ market or produce stand is a plus • Knowledge of fruits and vegetables is a bonus!
