I have had this jacked for quite a few years so there is some wear but no damage whatsoever. The size 42 is like a medium and the length is Long. The jacket comes with the original armour in addition to the current armour in the jacket which is a softer version (more flexible) also from Aerostich. Also included is an Aerostich back protecter which is easy to attach and remove from the jacket.
