This was purchased here in Victoria from “The Field Naturalist Store” that was in business here. It is a dark brown / khaki colour. Never worn as it was too small (intended weight loss never happened). Waxed cotton coats made in England range up to approx $700. I’ve included a link to the company website (they use different fabrics now for waterproof coats) and a YouTube on the wonders of waxed cotton! The coat will suit around a 48” chest maximum. No shoulder seam to eliminate chance of rain seepage, same with the pockets, no seam at the bottom of pocket as it’s an internal one. The seam is a double turned one horizontal across the back. It weighs 3 lbs. As stated on the label it has snaps for an optional hat but the store wasn’t selling them when the coat was purchased. Measures: Chest - 48” Inside arm seam - 20" Length at back neck seam to hem - 37” Mascot is a manufacturer of outerwear in Great Britain and has been for many years. This jacket is a waxed cotton which is similar to those produced by barbour and a few other makers. It features a heavy duty plastic zipper and is cut in a fairly typical British country jacket style with flapped pockets to the skirt, a fly which covers the front two way zip with heavy duty snaps and a corduroy collar which can be fastened in an upright position around the neck when folded up.
