Excellent condition, only used two winters on a guest bed and it was inside a duvet cover. No smells, stains or damage of any kind. It’s just been freshly washed and dried in the dryer though it didn’t need it. Down duvets can be washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer. Though they do take a few hours to dry! It is a cotton casing and is baffle box construction. As shown in the text photo the corners of the baffles are open for reasons stated (see photo). This means there can be some migration of down so it’s important to give it a good shake every few days to keep the down in place, but it can be manually moved as stated in the text photo. It is white and is winter weight as it weighs about 5.5 pounds. It is 84” long and x 83” wide. A queen mattress is 60” wide so it would hang down about 11-12” on either side. A double bed would be 6” more of a hang down on either side. If kept in a duvet cover it shouldn’t need washing more than every year or so. The edges are a narrow piping finish. There is no manufacturer as my sister dislikes labels! Non smoking non pet single adult home. Note that every manufacturer makes the dimensions slightly different within a king, queen, double or twin size designation and it can vary up to about 5” in either direction! That is true for duvets and duvet covers as well. The only thing consistently the same is the width of the mattress! Something to watch out for when shopping for a cover! My rooms don’t have overhead lighting so the photos are a little dark. I’ve shown a photo of it in a grocery bag, down compresses so well for storage! I’ve also shown a photo of it right out of the washer, it was 8.5 lbs wet…that’s why the down takes so long to dry, 3 pounds of wet down!
