$2,600 · ISO - Long Term Rental

Hello, My Dad and I are in search of a house or carriage house for long term rental that we can call home for, hopefully, years to come. We are both professional adults that work full time, but my dad is looking to slow down and, hopefully soon, retire. We have our own furniture, so would need to be completely unfurnished. We have 2 vehicles and would prefer driveway parking or hassle free street parking. I currently have an 8yr old rescue mutt that is mostly a couch potato but very active outside, house trained, and only barks when someone is at the door or when Fire trucks go by. But my home will never be without a dog. We have always treated our rentals like they are our home. We have always had tenants insurance. I love to garden and have improved the curb appeal of multiple houses we have lived in. We are looking to move out of Victoria as its getting too busy. But not too far, as I still work in the downtown core. We would like to live in the Malahat, Mill Bay, Shawnigan, Koksilah, or South Cowichan Valley regions. We are not in a rush as we are in a pretty nice place now in Sooke. But the commute is getting worse by the day with the amount of houses they keep building without addressing the infrastructure and it is making it intolerable. We could be ready to move Spring 2025. Our max budget is $2600 preferably with utilities. If there is a cheaper offer, we would love to pay less. We are looking for 2-3 bedrooms, 1.5-2 bathrooms.
