With another year of the Raymond James Father’s Day Walk/Run approaching, Island Prostate Centre is reflecting on the incredible impact that this event has had over the last 21 years. It’s thanks to our dedicated community that we’ve been able to raise crucial funds and awareness for prostate cancer support services in our community.

We invite you to join us once again for this year’s event on Sunday, June 16, 2024. As we come together as a community to celebrate another year of making a difference, remember that at Island Prostate Centre, “What’s Raised Here Stays Here.” Every dollar raised directly supports our local community, ensuring that vital resources remain accessible to those patients (and their families) who need them most. Island Kids Cancer Association Golf Tournament – June 26

Join us for IKCA’s third annual gold tournament at Cordova Bay Golf Club on Wednesday, June 26th. This high-energy high-impact day helps support children and families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis on the Island. Victoria Chinatown Lioness Club Shred-a-thon – June 8

The Victoria Chinatown Lioness Club is an all-woman service organization, created in February 1991.

The Club became a Lions Club in June 2020 to comply with Lions Club International requirements.. We are still the same group of strong women working hard to help the local community, the only difference is that we have added the word ‘Lions’ to the name of our Club. Our major annual Fundraiser, is the popular Chinese New Year Dinner. We are excited to be holding our Annual Paper Shredding Event on Saturday June 8, 10am – 1 pm in the Save On Foods parking lot at Fort and Foul Bay. Our Mission is to provide service to those in need, with a particular emphasis on our local Community as well as Women and Children’s needs, following the principles of Lionism. Passion & Performance Spring Showcase – June 8

Passion and Performance Victoria is back for our Annual Spring Showcase! This is our biggest showcase yet, with more styles than ever; a jam-packed event, full of exciting routines. We are proud to be an all-adults studio with dancers of all skill levels, ages and abilities. From drag, to chair dancing, to tap dancing – the Spring Showcase will

ArtisTREE Festival – July 27-28

ArtisTREE Festival is a two day arts festival taking place at historic Government House located on the traditional territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. Featuring up to 150 juried artisan booths to both shop at and inspire, as well as a live music all weekend, art installations, en plein air artistic demonstrations, installation and performance artists and an Indigenous art and culture showcase. Family Friendly! Free to attend! Children’s crafts, activities and performers are part of the fun all weekend long. Experience the magic that will take place over 36 acres in the heart of Victoria’s Rockland neighborhood. Leave the car at home. Walk, bike or stroll to the event. BC SPCA Victoria Lock-In for Love – June 5-22

Join us to make a difference for animals – June 5-22, 2024! Lock-In for Love is a fun and easy peer-to-peer fundraising campaign where individuals or groups wishing to participate create an online donation page and fundraising goal, and share with their family, friends, colleagues, clients and network to work together to raise money to meet their goal and help animals in need in Victoria. We wrap up with an event day, where we invite our participants in and celebrate in the Centre, meet some animal ambassadors, enjoy some yummy treats and see first hand the ways you helped make a difference for animals. SKAMpede – July 12-14

SKAMpede Fest returns this Summer! The beloved outdoor live performing arts festival, which in the past has featured clowning, dance, music, and theatre, will be back along on Inner Harbour and Gorge Waterway from July 12 to 14. Patrons of the festival have the option of purchasing tickets to two tours on the Galloping Goose and Songhees Walkway. On the tours they will get to enjoy performances from both emerging and acclaimed professional theatre

Victoria’s 25th Anniversary Ska & Reggae Festival – June 19-23

One of the jewels of the west coast music scene, Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival is celebrating its landmark 25th Anniversary with its biggest lineup yet. Taking place over five days (June 19-23) at various venues around downtown Victoria with a stacked lineup featuring the likes of ska-punk icons Less Than Jake and the Suicide Machines, rap royalty Dead Prez, South American reggae legends Gondwana, Victoria Ska & Reggae Fest has something for every music lover. The festival aims to welcome everyone, offering a mixture of paid and free events, with the majority being all ages. There is really no event like it on the west coast, or any other coast for that matter. Victoria’s Canada Day presented by City of Victoria – July 1

Victoria Inner Harbour’s first ever drone show and headliner DJ Shub, a Juno award-winning Indigenous artist, will be featured in the City of Victoria’s reimagined Canada Day on July 1. The big show will return to the Legislature lawns and Belleville Street.

“This July 1, bring your family and friends to Victoria’s spectacular waterfront for an exciting, inclusive Canada Day celebration!” invited Mayor Marianne Alto. “Taste your way around the world, dance the afternoon and night away with some of Canada’s most talented musicians, be taken on Indigenous and multicultural journeys through storytelling and cultural performances, and stay for the spectacular drone and fireworks finale that will light up the night sky. Come join the festivities with friends and neighbours, new and known!”

Hey Ocean, Mauvey, Posh Coat, Yvonne Kushe and the lək̓ ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers will be just some of the artists featured in a diverse showcase of powerful, live performances on the main stage. Large screens will reflect and celebrate diverse voices, from grassroots artists to cultural leaders.

An International Food Village on Belleville Street will provide an array of local food trucks offering a global feast. The Family Zone on the Legislature lawns will feature a variety of kid-friendly activities hosted by the Victoria Fire Department, Victoria Bug Zoo and the Royal British Columbia Museum. Victoria Track Classic – June 12

The Track Classic is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th beginning at 6 p.m. with youth and preliminary races followed by the featured or professional events at 7:00 p.m. As a world athletics sanctioned event, athletes earn points towards their rankings which leads to selection onto national teams such as the Olympics.

This year’s Victoria Track Classic features events such as men’s 100 meters, women’s 100-meter hurdles and men’s and women’s 400, 800 and 1500 meter distances, javelin, pole vault and women’s discus.

Victoria International JazzFest – June 21 – 30

Experience 10 hot days and nights of the coolest music in town at the 40th anniversary of TD Victoria International JazzFest. W’Hoop It Up – Canada vs Portugal Women’s Basketball Game – June 26
