Gorge Tillicum Childcare Society will be opening February 2025. We are looking for experienced Educators to join our team! Permanent full-time, part-time and casual positions available. Early childhood educators plan, organize and implement programs for children between the ages of infancy and 5 years. Working as a team, Early childhood educators and assistants lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. Duties: - Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children - Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity - Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children - Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members - Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor - Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits - Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children Requirements: • Valid BC License to Practice • Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate • Clear criminal record check • References Benefits: - Benefit package, including Extended Health & Dental - 10 paid vacation days each year + paid time off during seasonal closures - up to 50% off child care services - 5 sick days - Employer paid workshops, including educational courses leading to certification Start Date: JANUARY 20, 2025 Salary: $20 - $30 depending on qualifications (including ECE wage enhancement where qualified)
