We are currently hiring an Automotive Service Advisor (On-Site) based in our Victoria Service Location. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you’re a key player in every Member’s experience when they entrust their vehicle to BCAA for repairs. From the time an appointment is booked through to its hand-over back to the Member, you’re responsible for the Member relationship. You’re an excellent listener, can manage conflict should it arise, and can translate technical information to members in a manner they will understand. Who you are You love working on vehicles. You’re passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, even in complicated moments. You’re a strong communicator, in person, via email or on the phone. You’re tenacious and detail oriented. You love to learn and aren’t afraid to ask questions. You’re personable and adaptable and strive to always improve your technical skills. Flexible hours and weekend work are no problem for you. What you bring A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the automotive field as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Automotive Parts Advisor. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to lift 50 lbs (23 kg), bend, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time. Once here, you will: Greet and check-in customers entering your BCAA Automotive Service Centre Act as each Member’s trusted advisor when discussing needed repairs, costs, schedule, timeline and preventative maintenance. Provide repair estimates and receive Member approval for work to be performed, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up after the repaired vehicle has left the shop. Book and maintain the appointment schedule. Ensure ongoing and accurate communication among team members involved with any repair. Perform shipping/receiving duties and assist in handling the flow of parts throughout the facility. Maintain a solid understanding of all BCAA products, best practices, standards, policies and systems as well as industry knowledge and competitors’ offerings. Internal Applicants: Please note that the internal posting closes on September 06, 2024 and the role is a Grade 6 position. The salary range for this position is $45,406.32 to $56,757.84    and is determined via   job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
