Hardwood flooring installer/labourer

Job Summary We are seeking a Flooring Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with floor installations, repairs and sand and refinishing hardwood. Plus floor leveling, site clean up, garbage removal, etc. etc. We specialize in hardwood floors and also do some laminate installs. Responsibilities - maintaining a today work environment -site clean up/garbage removal/dump runs -Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas. Finishing carpentry including baseboard and trim installation - Install flooring materials such as hardwood (glue down and nail installations) and laminate. - Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling, and cleaning - Follow direction well and attention to detail an asset. Skills -Willingness to learn a variety of new skills -Able to get yourself to various job locations around greater Victoria OR to Royal Oak Exchange by 7:30am Monday-Friday -Physically able to lift above 50lbs, work heavy machines and stand for long periods of time. - Experience in flooring and/or finishing carpentry an asset!
