3 Beautiful Budgies looking for rehome! MUST PICKUP. I will also be supplying their cage and toys. all in their 3rd year, smart and beautiful. 2 males 1 female, the best of friends. They love to free fly, so after some bird proofing of the home and a week or so of them getting used to the surroundings, you could let them out to fly and they will return to their cage when they are scared/tired/hungry as its their safe spot. I hate to get rid of them and say goodbye but I must due to things out of my control. Looking to find them a home that's familiar with Budgies and can provide them a new forever home. They get along well with other birds, maybe too trusting haha. I didn't handle them much besides for emergency/medication or nail clipping. They have never had their wings clipped. They like to land on heads & shoulders, and love Wheat/Cat Grass Flats (save on foods) sprayed with a mist of water! They love it! Foods: Seed 70% and pellets 30% but mainly seeds (ive tried to get them on healthier diet but they refuse to eat the fresh food) Vitamin drops and blocks to supplement their diet due to them being picky. Wheat/Cat grass Sprey millets (treat only not nutritious for a meal) Crackers (another rare treat!! They like the salt and the crunch i'm assuming. You shouldn't feed them human foods.) Treat sticks you get at petstore room temp clean water Their names are: Sky AKA Mama Mama ( All blue one) went through some hormonal stress and plucked her feathers, She's getting better and they are growing back. Eggy AkA Eggwardo (Yellow one) Coco AkA Cookie (Dark blue/white/black one) again: I will also be supplying their cage and toys(wiped down and cleaned), already put together so you just need to load it into the back of a SUV/TRUCK/VAN. I will also place the birds in a travel box with to keep them as calm as possible for transport and restrict any aggressive flying due to the stress. INFO: To keep your budgie safe and healthy in your home, avoid exposing them to smoke, fumes from cleaning products, aerosols, and hot surfaces, and ensure their cage is placed away from drafts and direct sunlight. Here's a more detailed breakdown of things to avoid: Environmental Hazards: Smoke: Budgies are highly sensitive to smoke, so avoid smoking or using vaporizers around them, even in another room. Cleaning Products: Keep your bird away from areas where you use insecticides, ammonia, bleach, oven cleaners, and other harsh chemicals. Aerosols: Avoid keeping the cage in rooms where aerosols are sprayed, such as bathrooms or bedrooms, as these can release toxic chemicals. Fumes: Be cautious of fumes from cooking, burnt food, or cookware, especially Teflon, which can be fatal. Drafts and Temperature Extremes: Place the cage in a draft-free area and avoid extreme temperature fluctuations. Direct Sunlight: Avoid placing the cage in direct sunlight, as it can overheat the bird. Hot Surfaces: Keep budgies away from hot surfaces like stoves, microwaves, and boiling water. Scented Candles and Air Fresheners: These can irritate a bird's lungs and air sacs. Other Pets: Ensure the cage is not accessible to other pets, such as cats and dogs. Cage and Toy Materials: Lead, Zinc, and Galvanized Metal: Avoid any cage or toy parts made of lead, zinc, lead-based paints, or galvanized metal, as these are toxic if ingested. Toxic Bedding: Avoid using pelleted paper or crushed corn cob bedding, as they can hold moisture and promote fungal growth. Glossy Printed Ads: Avoid using glossy printed ads, as the ink may be toxic if ingested. Food and Water: Poisonous Foods: Be aware of poisonous or potentially problematic food items like tobacco, cane sugar, alcohol, and caffeine. Contaminated Water: Ensure the water is fresh and clean, and avoid placing perches directly over food or water bowls. Handling and General Care: Avoid Overhandling: Do not try to handle the bird right away, allow it to settle into its new environment. Gentle Handling: When handling, be gentle and avoid petting down the back or under the wings, as this can cause stress or be misinterpreted. Also, you may think that you are being gentle but still, its too strong for a budgies fragile little body, be extra careful not to use too much strength or react harshly to a nibble/bite(it doesn't hurt you but can really hurt the bird if you squeeze or throw!). Changes in Routine: Be mindful of changes in routine, as birds are creatures of habit and can become stressed by sudden changes. Vet Trips: Have a carrier or small cage available for vet trips and emergencies. (Pro tip: look on used for free/dirt cheap travel cages and even larger home cages.) Monitor Weight: Keep track of your bird's weight to notice any changes in health.(Kitchen scale dedicated to the bird so it never gets contaminated by foods.) Just some info. Cheers.
