$900 · Osprey Standard wooden kayak with recessed rear coaming

Specs: Length 15’ 8”, Beam 24” Wood, fiberglass and epoxy construction. The Osprey-Standard is a medium-volume kayak suitable for average size adults. It has strong tracking, medium stability and good hull speed. It has ample capacity for camping gear. This example has bulkheads, creating bow and stern compartments for flotation and gear storage. Fittings include a Feathercraft rudder, a Superior Kayaks fiberglass seat and a compass mount. Extra care was taken with construction and finish. Stitch holes are filled and all seam fillets are masked for neatness. The seam fillets are made from lightweight West System filler instead of wood flour. The kayak has been well maintained and revarnished as required. There are some haul out scuffs in the bottom varnish, but not enough to warrant revarnishing at this time.
