For consideration - an Argillite Totem Pole made by renowned Haida carver Rufus Moody (1923-1998) who received the Order of Canada in 1976. Moody holds the record for world’s tallest argillite pole at six feet tall, housed in UBC’s Museum of Anthropology….. This totem is approximately 8” tall, base is 3” x 2.5”. The beautifully carved figures feature a bear, several salmon and a thunderbird…Signed and Dated on bottom (see photo) - 8/10/74, this pole just turned 50 years of age and is great condition except for a chip on one corner of the base (which is reflected in asking price) .
