Road Bicycle Bottom Bracket Repair Service: Bottom Bracket/Axle Right Bearing Cup removal to fit a sealed BB Cartridge. I am able to remove frame’s right side fixed bearing cup and clean up threads as I have the proper jigs and German-made BB English thread 1.375 x 24 clean up/chase threads tap set. Also if threads are too damaged for the cartridge to seal tight, threads can be ground out and a threadless cartridge fitted. Available threadless BB’s are only 68mm long though so not for older (70’s or so) Raleigh UK & Canada 70mm BB Shells or MTB 73mm Shells. If you are local (south Vancouver Island) this is an inexpensive choice to repair bike frame as I would only charge a labour fee re removal of cup and cleaning up threads.
