Visit us at www.industrialplankton.com About the Job: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Plastics Technician to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with various plastics, including acrylic, PVC, and other materials. This role involves hands-on work with forming, routing, gluing, and polishing plastics to create precision components and products. Key Responsibilities: Forming: Utilize thermoforming techniques such as line bending and drape forming to shape plastic materials. Routing: Operate hand-routers and other equipment to accurately cut and shape plastic parts. Gluing: Apply solvent glues and other adhesives to assemble plastic components. Polishing: Finish plastic surfaces to a high standard of clarity and smoothness using various polishing methods. Fabrication of custom parts and assemblies. Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production teams to achieve project goals and deadlines. Requirements: Perform manual tasks requiring dexterity and coordination Excellent attention to detail and quality of work Multitask and manage priorities Able to follow written and verbal instructions Use of power and hand tools (drill, saws, routers) Lift and move 50 lbs Work under minimum supervision in a team and independently Excellent communication skills Additional Information: A standard workweek is 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday Reports to the Production Manager Compensation will vary depending on experience and qualifications.
