BLIND TECHNICIAN

BRITE 'N EASY BLINDS is hiring a Blind Technician to join our busy team. We do everything concerning blinds and shades - from sales and installation to cleaning and repairs, so the position involves lots of variety. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING When you are on the road, you will be responsible for: - driving to customers' homes and places of business to remove and re-hang various types of blinds - measuring windows and consulting on supply of new blinds - installation of new blinds/shades - on-site diagnosis and blind repairs Back at the shop, you will work with the team to: - Clean blinds using ultrasonic and hand cleaning techniques - Complete repairs to blinds and shades - Prepare blinds for delivery to customers - Serve customers over the phone and at the front counter ABILITIES YOU NEED: - Friendly, professional and customer-focused - you're the face of the company - Reliable, collaborative and a "get the job done" attitude - you're part of a team - Physically fit, able to carry up to 50 lbs and work on ladders - it's physical work - Excellent communication with customers and co-workers - Ability to follow instructions and an interest in learning new skills - An eye for detail and ability to problem solve - Experience working with power tools and basic mechanical ability - Valid Class 5 Drivers license with drivers abstract (no "N" drivers) - Full training will be provided, but bonus points if you have experience working with window coverings!
