Hello! We’re in our early 50’s looking for a long-term rental home. We love our current place and were even married in our backyard, but our landlord’s daughter and husband are our upstairs neighbours and expecting a baby this spring, so they need the whole house for their growing family. A bit about us: She is employed full time as a dental office manager working for a dentist I’ve known since 2009. He was previously employed by the provincial government but is now living with disabilities and receives regular monthly LTD benefits. We require a quiet and peaceful home life due to his health issues and do not have large gatherings. We love nature and gardening and would appreciate having some outdoor space for our patio set and barbeque. I have 3 beautiful Japanese maple trees and other plants in pots that would be a lovely addition to any yard. We have indoor cats that are not just pets, they are family and emotional support for him after becoming disabled. He’s home much of the time due to his disability and they keep his life from being too lonely and isolated. Our current landlord is an animal lover and will confirm they have been well behaved. Finding a decent home that accepts pets on a disability budget is starting to feel almost impossible. We would much rather rent from nice people that we can have a pleasant relationship with rather than a distant property management situation. Thanks for your consideration.
