This lamp was in the "Jolly Friar" restaurant on the corner of Blanshard and Cormorant Street until the restaurant closed in the mid 1960s. It was purchased by the owners of the Cock Pheasant restaurant on West Sannich Road where the lamp lived until the mid 70s. The base is carved wood and I believe the metal work to be bronze (stand pipe and top) It was originally an oil lamp but at some point it was electrified. My best guess is that this was made in England Height 68" Width (top) 12" Width (base) 11.5"
