Custom Kayak Instruction

Instructor has 45+ years of varied paddling experience, incl. British Canoe Union (BCU) accreditation, National Coaching certification, teaching accreditation. Can adjust instruction (canoeing, WW kayaking, or ocean kayaking) to level of group. Intended to be safe, fun, highly-interactive, low stress, "packed with skills", and exercises to practice. Can be combined with a 5-7 day paddling trip (can supply food, shelter, and cooking equipment). I custom-build life-size and scale model skin-on-frame kayaks. Instruction can also focus on Greenland-style paddling or carving a Greenland paddle from red cedar. Minimum of 2 days. Offered throughout the year. Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia Price negotiable: depends on size of group and length of course (max. size = 6). Starts at $425 plus 5% GST for basic instruction (up 2.5 days). Need a mini-vacation in Victoria? Combine your sightseeing with some kayak instruction. This kayak instruction (2.5 days) would be offered under a bed-and-breakfast arrangement.
