Showroom Sales Representative

To complement their expanding sales team, Hourigan’s Flooring has retained Chemistry Consulting Group to search for a self-motivated, customer centric Showroom Sales Representative. This position is primarily responsible for greeting customers (Insurance Division) and providing guidance to educate customers on a wide range of flooring products. Hourigan’s Flooring is an established Victoria company who has been providing flooring and tile solutions in the Greater Victoria area for over 70 years. With a wide selection of carpet, hardwood, laminate, linoleum, vinyl and ceramic tile from all major manufacturers and many specialty suppliers, Hourigan’s has an established clientele and is proud of its industry leading 4.8 out of 5.00 Google review rating with over 235 five-star reviews. General Responsibilities: • Schedule appointments with Insurance Division customers for in-store consultations. • Greet and provide service to Insurance Division customers in the showroom. • Answer incoming Insurance Division phone calls and help with sales questions or transfer to the appropriate staff member. • Help Insurance Division customers with product selection and education. • Accurately document customer product selections and provide to Insurance Division estimator. • Return all customer phone calls, emails and texts within 1 business day. • Call Suppliers with questions and to verify stock and pricing. • Receive and process deposits on orders. • Basic housekeeping in the showroom, tidy displays, return samples, light cleaning as needed. • Duties subject to change based on Insurance Division volumes and requirements. This position would be ideally suited to an individual with a keen interest or experience in sales and service either in flooring, design, or home improvements.
