The Westsail 32 inspired a generation of sailors to head offshore to enjoy the delights of foreign shores both north and south. Never the fastest boat but incredibly tough, capable of carrying a heavy load, comfortable offshore, and very seaworthy. These boats are made to take the bumps and mishaps that happen on extended cruising adventures and carry on. Unlike the sad state of many Westsails that are now relegated to the back corners of boatyards with the other “boats of no hope”, this US made Westsail “Blue Tale” has seen extensive care and love. Over the last few years she has received new: engine, hatches, thru hulls, chartplotter, varnish, fuel tank, bowsprit, batteries, genoa and genoa furler, head, stove and much more.
