If you need one, you don't need an explanation. If you have no idea what this is, you probably don't need it. But, I'll explain anyways because sometimes I just like hammering out words on my keyboard. Back in the day, Nortel (Northern Telecom) phone systems were pretty much the defacto standard in Canadian small businesses. I still see them running all kinds of shops, but for some reason they seem popular in pizza shops. You can have a mix of digital and analog phones on the systems using different line cards, but for most small systems, you might not need all those additional ports. Instead, you would use one of these things to convert a digital port to an analog port. The ATA 2 is the second generation of the Analog Terminal Adapter. If you have a Nortel phone system, you can use an ATA to convert a digital port to be used with a cordless phone, fax machine, alarm system, or whatever else might need an analog telephone line. Do you still use one of these systems? You hope to keep using it for a few more years and you have at least one ATA in use right now? It wouldn't hurt to grab a spare now while you still can. The power supplies for these things are unique and they can be hard to source. As it says in the title, I have three of these available. Yes, I will give you a deal if you take more than one.
