Salt Spring Wild Cider is looking for a full-time head cider maker. We make over 15 different kinds of ciders using both traditional and modern cider making methods. The successful candidate will understand the basics of fermentation using both wild and cultivated yeasts. They will be able perform CIP's on a variety of tanks, use a variety of cidery equipment including forklifts, keg-washers, pumps, bottling equipment, etc., and carefully manage sanitization and cleanliness in all areas of the cidery. They will provide leadership and guidance to other manufacturing staff and communicate with managers accordingly. This is a full-time salaried position which requires availability on weekends - in order to check in and manage fermentations, etc. If you are a hard worker, who is trustworthy, smart, dedicated and has a passion for making amazing cider, we'd love to hear from you.
