Nova Pacific Care IncActivity Coordinator: Part Time Reporting to and under the direction of the Manager, the Activity Coordinator is involved with all aspects of choosing, planning and carrying out&nbsp activities and events for residents. The coordinator will help to make these activities as safe and enjoyable as possible. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Planning monthly calendar of events Consulting with residents to plan things that they will be interested in Sourcing entertainers, speakers, local musicians Running activities when on shift, i.e. calling bingo, assisting with exercises Engaging other staff in activites Communicating with the duty manager when an activity is occurring on their shift to ensure that they know about set up and other aspects of the activity Ensuring that new residents feel welcome to become involved in activities Planning seasonal activities and assisting with decorating and purchasing of gifts&nbsp Assisting the Manager when required Qualifications: Specific Grade 12 graduate Training or experience in activities with older adults Current knowledge of resources for seniors and how to access them Working knowledge of computers and word processing General Team player Motivated and enthusiastic Responsible Flexible Attentive to detail Able to work independently Friendly and approachable Good communicator Starting Wage: $18.01 Hours &amp Days: 12 hours per week, schedule flexible, to be determined Apply to for Sherwood House jobs is info@sherwood-house.com and Nova Pacific jobs is info@novapacific.ca To listen to a live presentation October 4th, 2021 at 12:00pm and learn more about the above opportunity please visit: https://events.blackpress.ca/northisland/ to register.
