This Vintage, High Relief Bronze Art Medal, Commemorates the TOKYO TOWER, located in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. From 1960's, in very good condition.. Built in 1958, Tokyo Tower was the world's tallest freestanding tower at 333 meters. It was a symbol of Japan's economic growth during that time. The Art Medal measures 1 1/2" in diameter, ball chain total length 27". The obverse shows a view of the Tokyo Tower surrounded by the phrase "MEMORY OF TOKYO TOWER 333M" and a decorated border. Reverse pictures Mt. Fuji and a Japanese Bridge. Japanese script is on top and a limited edition number of 48 628 is below. At 332.9 meters , TOKYO TOWER was the tallest tower in Japan until the construction of Tokyo Skytree in 2012.
