A set of 5 brand new brushes with 8-32 thread. A bronze wire brush, soft nylon rush, stiff nylon brush, cotton mop and a stainless tornado brush (very aggressive - use this one with caution). Also included is a brand new Hoppe's 1-Piece Stainless Steel Universal Cleaning Rod perfect for 22 calibre rifled or larger sizes in smooth bore. Comes with 3 different size jags for patches plus an adapter to convert the tip from the standard 8-32 female thread up to the larger 5/16-27 female thread. The one piece polished stainless steel shaft is stronger and less damaging than multi piece rods that have a small imperfection at every joint. The hardness of the stainless steel rod is less than the barrel and will not damage the barrel when used properly. The ball bearing handle allows the rod to turn independently to the handle. When researching rods I was surprised to find out that bare aluminium rods are extremely abrasive. Bare aluminium quickly oxidizes into aluminium oxide which is extremely hard and abrasive (used in sharpening stones). The hard surface is damaging to the barrel and all the little scratches that are created on the alumnium surface quickly oxidize into sharp edged aluminium oxide which turns your rod into a fine file.
