Hourly Wage: $20.97-24.93 Location: Veterans Memorial Lodge - Saanich Position # / Schedule: 108357 – Set B, Float, 7:30-3:30, 4 on 2 off rotation, (1.00 FTE) 94444 – Set C, 2x 11:45am-3:15/2x 4:00-7:30pm, 4 on 2 off rotation (0.47 FTE) Status: Temporary Term Closing Date: September 20, 2021 ** Broadmead Care will accommodate up to 1.3 FTE for multi-site employees ** SUMMARY Under supervision, to carry out a variety of tasks related to food production and/or food service in accordance with established routines. Duties include preparing food items such as salads, sandwiches, beverages; loading food carts and transporting carts to designated areas; taking and recording food temperatures; setting tables, portioning foods in accordance with portion control systems; portioning special diet items; assembling meals onto plates/trays; replenishing supplies and maintaining records; cleaning counters, cupboards, etc.; scraping and racking and washing soiled dishes; assembling clean dishes and small wares; other related duties QUALIFICATIONS • Grade 10 or equivalent; preferably completion of Grade 12 • Food Safe Level I Certification required; preferable completion of basic WHMIS training and some basic knowledge of computers • Some knowledge of the routines involved in a food production or food service operation • Related work experience • Completion of the provincial Food Safe program • Must be eligible to work with vulnerable adults, under the BC Criminal Record Review program • Negative TB Screen Skills & Abilities: • Ability to follow instructions • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, the public, and the elderly residents • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job including lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing and walking NOTES: • For questions related to the position, please contact Tienna Stempowicz, Hospitality Manager, at 250-658-3251 • Submit your resume with cover letter by response to this advertisement • Subject line in email should read 2021-110 FSW temp term VML You can also express your interest in this opportunity at “Work With Us” through our website: www.broadmeadcare.com
