In-Home Telecom Technician

We are seeking committed, customer service-oriented technicians for the position of In-Home Telecom Technician. This is a Sub-Contractor position, so you must provide your own work vehicle with a ladder rack. However, Employee positions (with benefits) are available where we can supply vehicles and these positions are offered at the lower compensation rate. Compensation: $26-$36/hour Duties: Provide exceptional customer experience in all interactions Install all equipment and cables Educate customers on functionality of new products & services Apply technical and problem-solving skills to fix customer service problems Promote and sell new products and/or services to customers Provide overview of work scope for customer before completing installation Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles when used Flexibility to work later than scheduled to complete work orders Safety Conscious Skill Required: Maintain valid BC Class 5 driver's license & provide clean driver's abstract before start date Physically fit & able to lift & carry 70lbs Strong technical aptitude Self-organized & able to prioritize and balance workloads Qualifications: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Exceptional cleanliness and high organizational standards You must be comfortable with heights & ladder handling Strong verbal, written communication & computer skills Minimum of 1 years' experience in the industry Criminal Background check required upon hiring The following would be assets: Aerial Lift certificate WHMIS and Power Awareness Defensive driving certification First Aid Level 1 Traffic control, TCP/TMP Previous experience with TELUS or Shaw What we Offer: Full-time position Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package after 90 days Ongoing training and development LOA + Accommodation provided for overnight travel Please submit resume to Don.Sinclair@driftwoodcom.com.
