Have I got a great tenant for you!!!

Alice and her little dog, Schnookwa, have been our tenants for over 9 years. Both are wonderful! Alice has been an exemplary tenant in every way. She takes great care of the place, keeps it tidy, and let us know about any issues. She is pleasant, quiet and respectful. Rent is always paid in full and on time. The only reason Alice is leaving is because my husband’s cousin has gone blind and we wanted him to move nearer to us, so we’d be available to help him. Ideally we wanted him to move into the suite and discussed this with Alice. I didn’t think she would be interested in moving… she loves her home on the lake with her propane fireplace, soaker tub, private deck, amazing views, and access to a veggie garden, orchard and a lake to swim in. We were completely prepared for her to say no, but figured we had to at least ask. She thought about it for a few days and then said she understood how it made sense for him to move into the suite and that she was willing to move. We were touched by her generous and caring spirit. And now, I want to help her find a wonderful new place to call home. The challenging rental market combined with the fact that she is extremely busy at work right now has made her hunt for a new home more difficult than expected. Alice’s ideal home would be at least one bedroom and near the downtown area, as her employer has just set up a new office downtown and she will likely be working out of this office frequently. Fairfield and Cook Street Village are areas of great interest to her, but she is willing to look farther afield to pretty well any area in greater Victoria for the right place. If you have a place to rent, please consider Alice. Alice is currently paying under $1,500 for a one-bedroom. But, I am sure she can afford $2000 per month... a little more or a little less depending on the place.
