MEET UP MORNINGS NEAR FORT AND COOK, selling lots of good items, click on my photo for listings. The ceramic pour over is vintage and they sell for up to $100 with shipping on auction sites. The pkg of filters is $20 Value The Melitta porcelain is 4” high and 5” diameter. It wasn’t used, it’s a vintage one and would’ve been made in West Germany according to a photo from a Melitta site. Now likely they are all made in China. Far better quality of porcelain than what’s made now. It’s fairly heavy, weighs over one pound. I don’t know when it was made but likely the 60-70’s. It has been stored in a cupboard for years! Comes with a sealed package of 200 paper filters #6 size ($20 on Amazon). They are larger than the #4 ones allowing for more coffee grounds and guarding against water spillage over the top. For comparison I see someone is selling the same ceramic cone with partial ridges on this Facebook marketplace for $50. Just the pour over cone, no filters. It is fully ridged inside and is the “1 hole” version. See the photo on the benefit of 1 hole cones. Explanation for the ridges: “The ridges in a Melitta pour over cone serve two main purposes: 1. Prevent a Seal: The ridges prevent the paper filter from lying flat against the interior walls of the cone, which stops a seal from forming. 2. Allow Airflow and Influence Flow Rate: The air pockets created by the ridges allow air to escape during the brewing process and influence the flow rate of the water through the coffee grounds and filter. This design feature contributes to a more consistent and optimal flavor extraction by ensuring even saturation and preventing the filter from clogging.”
