As an integral member of the Finance team and reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, the Accounting Support Clerk is responsible for supporting all main accounting functions. Specifically, the position will involve supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, supplier account management and some payroll functions. The Accounting Support Clerk will work as part of a team that includes dedicated specialists in all major accounting functions. This position will be based out of the Victoria office on Goldstream Avenue in Langford and is a permanent, full-time position, Monday - Friday, 35 hours/week. Once trained, the Accounting Support Clerk may work from home on occasion. Education and Experience * Grade 12 and at least one completed bookkeeping or accounting course * Minimum 1 year of experience working in a finance or accounting department * Experience using accounting software, Great Plains Dynamics is considered an asset and training will be provided * Experience working in and with the Indigenous communities and Indigenous people. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Good knowledge with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) * Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable * Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in preparing financial information * Skills in working in a team environment and excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to document and maintain records and databases * Exhibits cultural sensitivity and awareness Please apply by going to this link: https://makola.bamboohr.com/jobs/view.php?id=34
